AGAPE is not based on pleasant emotions or good feelings, AGAPE is used to describe the love of and from God whose nature is love itself. It is the highest form of love. God’s love is not a sappy or sentimental feeling like human love. He loves the unlovable and lovely not because we deserve to be loved or what we do but because it is his nature to love. AGAPE is shown by what it does and God showed his AGAPE to us through Jesus Christ in 1 John 4:9 “ In this was manifested the love of God toward us because, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”

Why Jesus? well because Jesus was both man and God, he was a sinless man born in the flesh and he came down for 1 mission to save you. Why do I need saving? I think I should be fine. Well from the very first sin that appeared through Adam + Eve, sin came into the world and it came like a disease. And from that moment we were separated from God because God is holy and we deserved that death and judgment. But God had a plan for us he poured out great AGAPE and mercy. He had a plan throughout the Old Testament all the way to the New Testament through Abraham, Issac, Jacob, David, Solomon, and all the way to Jesus who was born from a virgin, God’s only son who came in the form of a human + God a sinless man who came to save us from that wrath that we deserved.
